From an early age, women are often misled to believe that makeup, high heels, and sexy outfits can boost their confidence and self-esteem.
While these may contribute to a certain degree, they only affect us on a surface level.
To truly enhance our sense of self-worth, we must focus on deeper qualities that foster growth over time, such as:
Consciousness
Resilience
Mental strength
Creativity
Authenticity
Independence
When it comes to building confidence and self-esteem, the less we rely on others, the better. Our tendency to compare ourselves to others and seek their validation can be damaging to our personal development.
Recognizing and respecting our value is a lonely work that starts and ends within us, and includes actions like:
- Discovering and nurturing our talents and passions
- Aligning our lives with our own values and aspirations
- Overcoming fears and insecurities
- Addressing our traumas and vulnerabilities
- Saying “no” to anything that jeopardizes our dignity and autonomy
For the past ten years, I have been deeply exploring the realms of self-knowledge.
I found out that combining inner work, healthy relationships, and purposeful life can lead us to a powerful place where well-being, deep connections, and fulfillment become part of our daily routine.

May we never lack the courage to desire to be more than what our appearance represents. Although we are indeed bodies, it is our inner selves that justify and sustain our existence. 🌹
