In the early stages of a new undertaking, it’s common to feel lost and confused. The strong desire to move forward is often present, but we may find ourselves lacking the necessary tools and a clear vision of what to do next.
Why is it like this?
What is happening within us?
How can we progress from this point?
💡 Life consists of various phases, many of which can be broken down into at least four distinct steps. For example:
📌 Seasonal changes: spring, summer, fall, and winter.
📌 Agricultural processes: soil preparation, sowing, fertilizing, and harvesting.
📌 Life stages: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age.
As we are a microcosmos of the universe, these four-step patterns can also be reflected in our personal journeys, especially during significant internal and external transitions.
THE FOUR STAGES TOWARD GROWTH
**Feeling** – This is the initial stage where a strong desire ignites within us, but it often lacks clarity.
During this phase, we might experience various feelings, whether positive (like excitement and joy) or negative (such as fear and distress).
Our tolerance for uncertainty plays a big role in how we experience these emotions. Those more comfortable with ambiguity may find this phase more pleasant, while others with high anxiety may struggle.
**Reasoning** – As we transition to this stage, our emotions start to settle, and our thought processes take over. This is the point where we begin to gain clarity and form a plan for our next steps.
**Acting** – With a plan in place, it’s time to put our ideas into action. This stage allows us to implement our preparations while also making adjustments based on our experiences along the way.
**Harvesting** – Finally, we arrive at the reward phase, where we can enjoy the outcomes of our efforts. What began as a vague desire has now transformed into tangible results, allowing us to reap the fruits of our labor.
