Reading Our Anger

Feeling pleasant emotions like joy and excitement is amazing.

They expands us and make the world feel inviting and safe.

On the other hand, the unpleasant ones belittle us, creating an unsettling atmosphere that sends the message that we cannot trust “people out there.

Although negative emotions are just feedback revealing that something is wrong, their extremely uncomfortable nature tends to pull us to extremes:

When we feel overwhelmed, we either overreact or repress our emotions, becoming submissive followers or ruthless inquisitors.

Succumbing to our emotions make us irrational

Denying their existence steals our consciousness

Crossing them attentively forges mastery

And trains us to navigate deep waters

without

losing ourselves

along

the

way

BYPASSING THE EXTREMES TO FIND THE MIDDLE GROUND

If shifting to one of the extremes creates chaos or entrapment,

neither path can’t be the right map.

So, let’s explore a more strategic route.

ANGER – THE GATEKEEPER OF OUR CASTLE

Among all the emotions we can feel,

anger is probably

the least “authentic”,

as it is a

reactive

shield

against

the real sources

of our

distress

At the entrance of our castle stands our anger

In the great hall resides our fear

And in the master bedroom reigns our pain

— the true player behind the curtains

In this way, the rise of anger is often an attempt to fight the battle outside the castle walls, safeguarding our treasures and protecting the king.

This is a great strategy for the external world, where we must defend ourselves against violence and deceit.

But to thrive in our inner world, we need to enter the realm of the feminine, where etiquette requires kindness, appreciation, and intimacy.

To step onto its Persian carpets

and lie down on its silk linen

we must rip off the armor

and learn

how to enjoy

being

naked

in

front

of

the

mirror
