Very, very wise. Abuse victims, I can attest, may be subject to “thinking errors”. For instance, we are likely to blame ourselves for the abuse. Other such errors include overgeneralizing and catastrophizing.
But our society at large seems prone to these errors, as well. We see rapid shifts in allegiance on social media which are not the product of reason. Instead, they reflect a thoughtless mob mentality which is dangerous.

Absolutely, Anna. It’s essential to replace negative thinking with a more supportive mindset as soon as possible, as this pattern is what keeps a person trapped in abusive relationships.
No matter how desperately you want to escape a painful situation, if you don’t change the mindset that made you a target for such experiences, you will continue to reenact them indefinitely.
The key to breaking this cycle is to adopt an opposing mindset.
If I have been disrespected or violated in the past, how can I manifest the opposite in my life now? I can start by being respectful to myself, only allowing respectful people into my inner circle, and making the effort to eliminate abuse and set boundaries in my daily life. 😘😘
