Inner Compass Gem #14 – Debunking Myths of Letting Go

🎯 Let’s be real—healing isn’t easy. And half the time, it’s not the pain that stops us.

It’s the fears, doubts, and outdated beliefs we’ve picked up along the way.

💖 If you’ve ever felt unsure about starting your emotional healing journey, you’re not alone.

💡 How about clearing up some of those myths to make your journey feel a little lighter?

THE MYTH ABOUT LETTING GO

“Letting go means giving up.”

⚠️Many people associate letting go with failure or defeat, especially when it comes to long-term relationships or familiar mindsets.

The Truth: Letting go is an act of wisdom and courage. It means choosing peace, growth, and alignment over attachment to what drains you.

🧠 Shift Your Mindset: Letting go is not giving up—it’s leveling up.

🌱 You’re making room for what nourishes you instead of punishing yourself with what no longer fits in your life.

  1. Letting go is, I think, closely aligned w/ forgiveness. We think clinging to unforgiveness (to the past and the wounds inflicted on us) serves as a monument to our grievance. But that is a mistaken understanding of the situation. We are actually dying of the poison we mean to serve up to those who harmed us.

Forgiveness, i.e. letting go, does not minimize the suffering we endured. It allows us to move forward w/ our lives. ❤
