My hometown, Rio de Janeiro, needs no introduction to its mesmerizing beaches, mountains, and monuments.
Having just visited Rio to spend Christmas and New Year with my family, I wanted to share my local perspective on what to do and how to move around the most interesting neighborhoods in the city.
This strategic approach allows you to visit all the must-see attractions efficiently, making the most of your time in Rio.

SAFETY MEASURES
Although it is well-known, I would like to emphasize the importance of being extra cautious while visiting Rio.
Here are some tips to help protect yourself:
❌ Avoid wearing jewelry.
❌ Do not place any valuable items in your back pockets.
❌ Wear your backpack in front of you.
❌ Avoid using your cell phone (especially if it’s an iPhone) on the streets.
I hope this information makes your trip to Rio easier to plan and more enjoyable. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment!
